NAME: McCarran International Airport
LOCATION: South of central Las Vegas. The Strip runs almost alongside it, directly to the West.
NOTES: Seems to be a central hub of activity and looks huge. 'Sundance Helicopters' is situated upon it. A great deal of car rental options are, too. One is known as 'Thrifty', near Terminal 1 and the Howard H Cannon Aviation Museum. There is something called 'Rent-A-Car Road', which contains outlets entitled 'Avis', 'Hertz', 'Dollar', 'Payless' and 'Sav-More'. The other, just outside of the airport, is known as 'Budget'.
Title: Nellis Air Force Base
Location: In Las Vegas, but to the far North-East of it.
Notes: Security is likely to be very tight, considering its apparent urban locality and the opportunity for terrorist activity to be launched from such.
Nellis is famed for hosting 'Red Flag' exercises (where the US Air Force gets lots of squadrons together and has them do live wargames, so as to train the pilots on large-scale combat operations) and also happens to function as primary air security for the infamous 'Area 51'; which is located in Nevada to the North, by Groom Lake (tours can be chartered to go near there).
Public tours are probably available for Nellis, since there appears to be something known as the Thunderbird Museum situated inside the base.
It is likely that military planes and helicopters of various types could be seen taking off and landing here, at virtually all hours of the day, including the stealthy new F-22 'Raptor'. Nellis happened to operate the very first squadron of F-22s in the entire world.
Salt Lake Highway, leading eventually to Salt Lake City and the Valley of Fire, cute diagonally across, leading to the North-East and, on the other side, facing Nellis, would be the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Title: North Las Vegas Air Terminal
Location: North Las Vegas, although not quite as far as Nellis Air Force Base.
Notes: Stationed on North Rancho Drive (Tonopah Highway), which cuts diagonally to the North-West. Nearby is the Fiesta Rancho casino, as well as Southern Nevada Zoo, the Las Vegas Golf Club and the Nevada State Museum.
